“so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.”
Ephesians 5:27
“The display of the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church…” Eph 3:10
If God is looking for anything it is correctability. How can one become a qualified son of the king without enduring correction and training? Or how can one become a spotless bride that blessed the heart of the king by her alignment to his mind unless she can be corrected?
I am afraid that we have accepted Christian diversity to the detriment of our own completion. Diversity of opinion and thought is not a sign of health and alignment. It is a sign of lostness and scatteredness, and ill preparedness for the kingdom. Further to that point is that the time word used for our correction, and display of our exact deity is “now.” We have accepted our diversity and are all building our temples in the outer court, fully expecting that in the new age we will all find out how we were right and wrong, and then be corrected. I hate to break it to us, but now is the day of correction because now is the time of display. By believing the subtle lie that we can all live in harmony of diversity we are unwittingly adding time to the “now” of Eph 3:10 and further delaying the corporate body which will display Jesus in exactness and precision.
But, trust it to the academics and the scholars to further entrench the saints in their diversity. These validate the lostness of the church and ensure we can never find each other in the clear trumpet of Jesus.
What then is the solution? Very simple. Biblically when the people were lost prophets were sent with direct messages from God, calling them back to the preciseness of the written word. Historically these ones were identified by the fact that they were upsetting the normal order and calling for realignment to eternal things, specifically in Christ. Next, after the work of the prophets is received then comes a head who can build the people together. Be it a king or be it an apostle. Eph 2 is very clear. There is no building without a foundation of the ministry of the apostles and prophets. And trust the scholars to tell us we only have dead apostles, dead prophets yet their own academic living voice to guide us. They of all men will not yield their place to living prophets and living apostles and lose their important paychecks in our houses we have built for them. And so, the many who are truly called will find themselves in outer court booths, believing they are in inner court tabernacles…listening to voices that explain why this imperfect temple replica, admittedly insufficient, is good enough for God. Just wait till the end and he will sort it out.
It is high time for the saints to ask God for the voices of correction and the voices of building to be released among the saints again, so that we can become the house of God which we all know we most certainly are not right “now”.
