Revelation 6:2. One coming to conquer

by Daniel Mastrolonardo

“And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.”

Revelation 6:2 ESV

The opening of the seals will be the most natural season of all at the end of the age. It is one coming to conquer, men in conflict, famine, death and martyrdom. The opening of the first seals will seem like how many times in history?

And haven’t we heard that many times in our private discussion? “Well evil has been on the earth before.” Yes, quite so, and the 6 seals will be as natural as any other age. It is not until the trumpets that you begin to see the finger of God.

The first seal is one who conquers. Who is this conquerer? One who rallies his assets to gain other nations under him? Is it not Daniel 11? The antichrist? And so we see that the opening of the seals begins a natural time of evil but it is the beginning of a most unnatural leader on the earth. When the seal pops, look to the Roman Empire and see one who gathers for war, one who seduces by intrigue, and one who boasts great boasts with great ambition.

The early church believed they were the era of the Lord’s return. Is it so unbiblical to believe it ourselves?
