When discussing the end of the age, most people shy away from the book of Revelation, from the ideas of the judgments and from the difficulties imagined and perceived, and also the martyrdom described therein. In a word, people get scared.
Now, let’s ask a question. Who exactly is afraid in that era? In the era of Jesus’ return, in the era of the bride’s completion, in the era of judgment from God onto the earth? Who exactly is afraid? Isn’t it the devil? Isn’t it the evil and wicked? Isn’t it the principalities who have gripped Christianity? Isn’t it the godless and the sinner? If our redemption is drawing near, and our wedding is almost here, why are we afraid? Seriously? Why would the saints of God not be giants in the land, rather than mice in the closet?
If the people of God are to have the spirit of the warrior Joshua (Jesus) then the command is necessary: “be strong and very courageous, neither be you afraid, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1. If God be for us, then who exactly can be against us? Only our own nature. And that is the message of the cross.
